Domino Regions — Today's Daily Puzzle
Place dominoes to satisfy every region.
Domino Regions is a free daily logic puzzle where you fill coloured regions with dominoes so that every sum, equality and comparison constraint is satisfied at once. Open a hint only when you are stuck — they are ordered from gentlest to most direct, and none of them give the answer away.
Hint 1: Start with the most constrained region
A region demanding a high sum in few cells has very few legal dominoes. Placing there first removes options everywhere else, whereas starting in a loose region simply produces work you will undo.
Hint 2: Count pips before you place anything
Add the pips of your whole domino set and compare it with the total demanded by the sum regions. The difference tells you how much slack the free cells absorb, which often forces a specific high domino into a specific place.
Hint 3: Treat equality regions as anchors
Regions requiring identical pips only accept a small family of dominoes. Fixing those first usually splits the board into two independent halves that are far easier to finish.
We never publish the solution here — the daily board is shared by every player worldwide.
How today's puzzle works
- 1You are given a set of dominoes and a board split into coloured regions.
- 2Drag a domino onto the board; rotate it while dragging to switch between horizontal and vertical.
- 3Each region carries a constraint — a required sum, all pips equal, or a comparison such as greater than a value.
- 4Every domino must be placed and every region constraint must hold at the same time.
- 5The board is solved when all dominoes are used and no constraint is broken.
