Deduce the hidden word.
Category
Brain games are only useful when they are genuinely hard for you. The games below cover four different kinds of thinking — verbal recall, mental arithmetic, pattern recognition and constraint logic — so rotating between them keeps the difficulty honest rather than letting you get fast at one narrow task.

Classic logic. Refined interface.
Sort sixteen words into four hidden groups.

A mini crossword with your coffee.
Watch closely. Remember exactly.
Word deduction leans on vocabulary retrieval and hypothesis testing. Mental arithmetic leans on working memory. Grouping puzzles lean on flexible categorisation — the ability to drop a first interpretation. Constraint logic leans on systematic search. None of these transfer perfectly to everyday tasks, and any site promising otherwise is overselling; what they reliably deliver is a short, focused, pleasantly difficult few minutes.
Pick one verbal game, one numeric game and one logic game per day rather than three of the same kind. If you finish a game on autopilot, that is the signal to raise its difficulty or swap it for a different type.
Yes. Every daily puzzle is free and playable without an account. Pro is optional and only unlocks the archive and extra modes.
There are no ads inside a puzzle board. Nothing interrupts a game in progress.
Five to fifteen minutes is plenty. Longer sessions mostly add fatigue rather than benefit.
Evidence for broad transfer is weak — you mostly get better at the specific game. They are still an excellent way to spend a focused few minutes, and variety keeps them challenging.
Lexicon on hard, and Sudoku at the top difficulty, are the two that most players find genuinely demanding.
