Recall — Free Daily Memory Puzzle

Watch the pattern, then repeat it.

Recall is a free daily memory game: a pattern of tiles flashes across a grid, one at a time, and you repeat it back in the exact same order. Get it right and the sequence grows by one tile for the next round — get it wrong and the round ends, with your score being how far you got. It's a straightforward test of short-term visual memory, over almost as soon as it starts. Free, no signup, one new sequence every day at 00:00 UTC, with unlimited practice in between.

How to play

Rules

Press Start. A sequence of tiles lights up, one at a time — watch closely.

Once the sequence ends, tap the tiles back in the exact same order.

Get it right and the sequence grows by one tile for the next round.

One wrong tap ends the round — your score is how many rounds you cleared.

A new daily sequence appears every day at 00:00 UTC. Practice mode is unlimited.

How to play Recall

  1. 1Press Start. Tiles on the grid light up one at a time — that's the pattern for this round.
  2. 2Once the pattern finishes, tap the tiles back in the exact same order.
  3. 3Get every tile right and the pattern grows by one tile for the next round.
  4. 4One wrong tap ends the round. Your score is how many rounds you cleared.
  5. 5The daily sequence resets at 00:00 UTC and is the same for every player.

Recall strategy

Chunk the pattern instead of memorising single tiles

Grouping the sequence into pairs or shapes — 'top-left then centre', 'a diagonal line' — is far easier to hold in working memory than tracking individual flashes one by one.

Say the positions in your head as they flash

Silently narrating each tile as it lights up ('corner, middle, corner') adds a verbal memory trace alongside the visual one, so you have two ways to recall the sequence instead of one.

Don't rush your taps

There's no time pressure once input opens — a wrong tap from hurrying costs you the whole round, while a half-second pause to double-check costs nothing.

Recall — frequently asked questions

What is Recall?

Recall is a free daily memory game. A pattern of tiles flashes across a grid, one at a time, and you repeat it back in order — the sequence grows by one tile each round you clear.

How do you play Recall?

Watch the tiles light up in sequence, then tap them back in the same order. A correct round adds one more tile to the pattern; a wrong tap ends the game.

Is Recall free?

Yes, both the daily sequence and unlimited practice mode are free with no account required.

How often does Recall change?

A new daily sequence is generated each day at 00:00 UTC and is identical for every player.

What's the difference between Normal and Hard mode?

Normal uses a 3x3 grid with a slower pace. Hard mode (Pro) uses a 4x4 grid with faster flashes, so there's more to track and less time to process each one.

What happens if I make a mistake?

The round ends immediately and your score is locked in as the number of rounds you cleared before the mistake.
